She did it! Master cake creator Ana Parzych of Cheshire is on her way to New York City as we speak, bringing along her winning wedding cake which will be featured at an on-air wedding Thursday on the "Today" show.
Parzych's cake was one of four competing in the morning show's "Today Throws A Wedding" segment. The show is hosting a modern-themed wedding from rings to honeymoon for couple, Melissa McMillin and Jeremy Gebhardt of Missouri at Rockefeller Plaza. Viewers voted on various aspects of the event including the cake.Parzych's multi-tiered creation features different flavors including vanilla with strawberry and spice with apricot fillings. The classic cake is decorated with mounds of gum paste roses and freesias, and includes an Air Force emblem, which seemed to catch the interest of the groom who is an Air Force airman just back from Afghanistan.
