Invitation Cards

(added few years ago!)

Alvin started to design our wedding card with pop-up effect. It was too costly although the artwork is nice. Then we brainstormed again and looked around for more samples on websites, magazines and also dropped by some wedding card shops to get inspirations. We were thinking of featuring a feather and a ribbon on our invitation card. So, Alvin re-designed based on this elements. We shopped around to get the feathers and ribbons. We also spent some shopping for Font CDs to find the perfect fonts for our card. Next, we looked for William, The Paper Boutique for quotation on our sample artwork and asked for his advise for better enhancement. We spent a lot of time changing the artwork. Think it took us about 1 month plus to finalise the card. William offered us a good deal and helped us a lot. He's really a nice guy and gave us a lot of additional assistance. He helped us bind the feathers and ribbons instead of having us do it by ourselves.. for no additional charges! At last, we have confirmed the card design in mid April and we are waiting for the final printout.

Wedding Gift
Although Westin is providing us with the chopsticks as door gifts, we decided to scrap the whole chopstick thingy. We planned a trip to Bangkok in January 2007 to look for our door gift. We walked to few shops to get the best bargain and finally we got the perfect gift from Chuk Tuk Chak Market. However, we faced a few problems. Firstly, the stocks and printing will take about 2 weeks to be ready but we would have left Bangkok way before that. We bought the gifts and requested our Bangkok friend to collect it for us. Secondly, we faced logistic issues as we now need to find a way to send it back home. The gifts are heavy and fragile. Luckily my sister's boyfriend, Boon Chin was willing to help us to carry it back but he only managed to get 100pcs due to the weight. We will have to wait for his next trip again. Unexpectedly, my sister in law was in Bangkok for her business trip in April and she helped us to carry another 100pcs back. Now, Boon Chin will only have to bring the last lot home. We hope that you all will like the gifts!
