A first-time eBay user has spoken of how she purchased her wedding dress on the website for just 99p. Suzanne Daniels consulted the online auction service after deciding that she wanted to keep costs down for her big day. She was later delighted when she managed to bag the bargain frock.

Speaking to the Daily Express, she revealed: "It was just I didn't want to spend a fortune on the wedding because it's more about the marriage. We just wanted the basic things that meant something to us. "It was the first time I'd ever used eBay and I just put in a bid for 99p."

The bride's dress was sent over from China and came to £86 once postage and insurance costs were included. "I can't for the life of me remember what the name of the shop was," she continued. "I had to email the lady in China my sizes and it was made to measure."

Praising the quality of the gown, Daniels added: "Lots of people commented on the dress, thinking it costs thousands of pounds." The 24-year-old tied the knot with Stuart Walker, 32, at St Andrew's Church in the Lake District village of Coniston.
